The family of murdered Manchester soldier Lee Rigby have spoken out over social media posts they said have been used 'in a divisive way to fuel arguments against the Black Lives Matter protests'.
In a personal message Lee's mother, Lyn Rigby, said the family have been 'hurt' by the posts, which they said were 'in complete opposition to what Lee stood for'.
They said he served his country to protect the 'rights and freedoms' of all. Father-of-one Lee, from Langley, Middleton, served as a soldier in the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
The 25-year-old was brutally murdered by two men in a terrorist attack in Woolwich, London on May 22, 2013, just 200 yards away from his Army barracks.
