Lydia told Lanarkshire Live: "The refuse we have unearthed from the forest isn’t the result of wholesale fly-tipping, it is the result of callous, unthinking, and selfish people deliberately throwing their rubbish away without thinking of the effect it has on the natural environment."Over two days of litter picking, we filled the boot of our car twice.

We kept finding huge amounts of refuse, easily filling a dozen extra-large black bin bags each day. "Litter-picking at this scale is not without its hazards.
