United kept their fifth clean sheet under the interim manager in midweek when they defeated Brighton 2-0 at Old Trafford, but the match was far from comfortable.
The Reds once again relied on the brilliance of De Gea to keep them in the game, with the Spaniard making a superb save to keep out a header from Jakub Moder when the scores were level.
United have faced the second-most number of shots in the Premier League this season, with De Gea viewed by many as the favourite for the club's player of the year award.
