Kilmarnock takeaway was briefly closed last week after failing a food hygiene inspection.Spicy Cube was shut down on Wednesday and Thursday while bosses at the eaterie were forced to make a number of changes to the premises.Food hygiene information scheme inspectors marked the West George Street venue as 'improvement required' on Wednesday, July 14 after officers visited the premises.The man in charge of the takeaway, who asked not to be named, said the venue was "not closed for unhygienic practices or anything to do with the food."The boss said they had to swap out their wooden shelves for ones with a cleanable surface and they were told to get rid of clutter from their storage room, including a pizza oven and freezer.The Ayrshire Live app.
