Hold on… did Kendall Jenner just go blonde? We can’t quite believe it, but just days after sister Kourtney ditched her platinum locks and returned to her signature dark shade, it seems like Kendall has decided to find out if blondes really do have more fun.
Although not quite as dramatic as some of her sisters’ icy blonde makeovers, it seems supermodel Kendall has experimented with a subtle balayage style, opting for natural looking lighter ends whilst still keeping her roots and top layers her natural dark brunette shade.
Celebrity hair colourist Matt Rez shared the first look at Kendall’s new colour on his Instagram account on Sunday, revealing her fresh new look as she wears an oversized black shirt dress and pouts for the camera.
Despite sticking to her natural colour for her roots and top sections, Kendall’s new lighter shade starts just above her cheekbones, and gradually gets lighter as it works its way down to her ends in what Matt calls “sunkissed hair goals”.The natural-looking lightened ends appear to have been done with a balayage technique, which involves hand painting sections of the hair to create a blonde look that isn’t too uniform, which can sometimes happen with traditional highlights, and allows the blonde to intensify as it reaches the ends.
