Kelty Hearts and Brora Rangers are doubling up in a bid to keep their SPFL dream alive - with the Fifers taking legal advice over their pathway being blocked.Lowland League champions Kelty have written to the SPFL demanding answers as to why there will be no play-off against Brechin City and are awaiting a response from Neil Doncaster.
The Fifers argue a four-way agreement states any change to the play-off format requires the backing of not just the SPFL and SFA but also the Lowland and Highland associations.
Last month’s SPFL resolution passed that there would be no relegation from League Two meaning ‘club 42’ Brechin City were saved from the prospect of a play-off against the winners of a Kelty v Brora showdown.
