Bruised Neil Doncaster has held out an olive branch to Rangers by urging them to help protect Scottish football from the catastrophic impact of the cornavirus crisis.Doncaster spoke out after surviving an attempt by the Ibrox club to remove him from his position as SPFL chief executive during Tuesday’s extraordinary general meeting of the country’s 42 clubs.Rangers required 75 per cent support in order to have Doncaster and his board subjected to a QC led independent probe into their handling of the Covid-19 lockdown which has seen civil war ripping through the game in this country.But the requisition fell way short of its target with only 13 clubs - less than 31 per cent - prepared to back the demands for an investigation.Rangers were
