Kasabian have announced the departure of frontman Tom Meighan due to “personal issues”. Meighan himself assured fans that he is “doing well”.In a statement yesterday, the band said: “Kasabian have announced today that Tom Meighan is stepping down from the band by mutual consent.

Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track.

We will not be commenting further”.According to The Sun, Meighan is scheduled to appear in court today on domestic assault charges, with the tabloid claiming that was the “true reason” for him standing down.After the band’s statement had been issued, Meighan himself subsequently said on Twitter:.
