Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Celtic rising star Karamoko Dembele has revealed that Brazilian star Robinho is his football idol. The 17-year-old is being tipped for big things at Celtic Park having made his debut on the final day of last season with an all-action display against Hearts.

Supporters have been waiting patiently for his big break in Neil Lennon 's first team since he emerged as a precocious 13-year-old in a reserve game back in 2016.

And given his trickery on the ball, it might come as no surprise that a samba star is who he looks up to the most. Answering questions from fans on Instagram, Dembele revealed that former Manchester City and Real Madrid star Robinho was his idol growing up.
