Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Damien Duff reveals Celtic audition more nerve-wracking than a Europa League final

Celtic coach Damien Duff has lifted the lid on his Hoops interview process that made playing in a Europa League final look easy.

Duff arrived at Parkhead initially as a reserves coach in January 2019 before Neil Lennon promoted him to the first team. The former Chelsea winger would stay at the Scottish champions until last month when he left to be replaced by Gavin Strachan, son of former Scotland boss Gordon.

Duff went all the way to the 2010 Europa League final as a player against Atletico Madrid in a fairytale run with Fulham, as well as making the 2002 World Cup and 2012 Euros with Ireland.
