Justice is still being done in Manchester in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic - just not quite as we know it. Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square is usually a bustling mix of lawyers dressed like they've just been transported from the 18th century, sharply attired solicitors and some less well heeled defendants.

But on Thursday this reporter, who usually spends most of his weekdays in this 1960s building, was told he had been the first to arrive through security at the public entrance, at about 9.30am.

After passing the numerous signs warning anyone with coronavirus like symptoms to stay away, Court 10 was my next port of call.
