Jumbles Reservoir ran dry this year following one of the driest months of May on record when just a fraction of expected rainfall fell.Pictures taken on May 27 show receded water levels and deep cracks forged into the bone-dry desert-like landscape.However, today (July 15) the reservoir was seen back to its brimming best after 144 per cent of the average UK rainfall dropped in June.The wet weather, some of which has continued into July, resulted in water levels at reservoirs across the country shooting back up.Comparatively, less than 14 per cent of the average rainfall had dropped in the North West of England between May.
