Celtic hero John Hartson has paid tribute to the NHS admid the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the country. The Welshman battled and beat testicular cancer in 2009, and had to have a tumour removed from his brain.
That's why he feels particular gratitude to the National Health Service, which is currently being swamped by the coronavirus crisis.
Hartson told the Celtic View podcast : "It was 2009 when I was struck down with testicular cancer that spread on to my lungs and then my brain. "I was incredibly lucky and I’m very appreciative of the great work the NHS did with me in saving my life."They went above and beyond with the treatment that I had.
