John Frusciante Announces New Trickfinger Album She Smiles Because She Presses the Button

pitchfork.comJohn Frusciante is back in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but that doesn’t mean he’s slacking on his solo music. The next album under his Trickfinger alias is called She Smiles Because She Presses the Button and it arrives June 5 via Acid Test Records sub-label Avenue 66.
Check out two tracks from the release, “Amb” and “Brise,” below. The last Trickfinger album, Trickfinger II, was released in 2017.
He put out an EP called Look Down, See Us last month. After it was announced last December that he’d be rejoining RHCP, Frusciante performed alongside Anthony Keidis and Flea for the first time in over a decade in February.
