Joe Hart will be 37 in April and his Celtic contract expires at the end of the season. Ordinarily, that might cause his manager to panic.

When there’s uncertainty over a key position at a big club, it’s often a matter of urgency to get it sorted. But for Brendan Rodgers, that’s not the case with Hart.

Such is the relationship the pair have at Parkhead, the Hoops gaffer is relaxed about the former England shot-stopper’s situation.

Rodgers has revealed he’ll only have a sit-down chat with Hart about his future towards the end of the current campaign. However, the Celtic boss does accept that it would be difficult for the veteran keeper to stay in Glasgow – away from his family – if he’s NOT the club’s No.1.
