A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

The 77-year-old politician was asked if he would ever make former First Lady Michelle Obama his running mate, and he responded, “I’d take her in a heartbeat.
She’s brilliant. She knows the way around. She is a really fine woman. The Obamas are great friends.” However, don’t expect the pick to happen.
He clarified, “I don’t think she has any desire to live near the White House again.” “In terms of who to pick, we’re just beginning the process,” he added. “We’ll shortly name the committee to review this and begin to look through the backgrounds of the various potential nominees.
