Jim Goodwin insists St Mirren will use SPFL punishment as motivation for Motherwell clash

SPFL disciplinary appeal – but admits he will be using the initial ruling to fire up his troops for their Fir Park battle. St Mirren have been hit from all angles so far this season, with the latest setback the SPFL’s decision to punish the Paisley club with two forfeited games as a result of breaching Covid-19 protocols.

The Steelmen are one side set to benefit from the Paisley side’s misfortune should the SFA uphold the SPFL’s initial punishment, with ‘Well coach Maurice Ross sticking the boot in when the club’s first game.
