A Japanese student has shared her experience of being stranded in Stirling during lockdown.Ayaka Hasumi was unable to fly home and is staying on campus during the restrictions on movement.She said she feels safe on university grounds as she continues to isolate within the campus.Ayaka - who came to Stirling last summer to study for a Masters in International Journalism - is one of many international students in this position, separated from families across the world.She is due to finish her course in August.Ayaka told the Stirling Observer: “I just worry about the situation but I am safe here on campus.“Most of my friends have gone home, especially the European students.“But it is a little different for Asian students.
