Scottish centre to expand and produce millions of doses of ‘promising’ coronavirus vaccine

coronavirus are to be manufactured in Scotland. The UK government has struck a partnership with the Valneva company to provide up to 100 million doses of its SARS-CoV-2 vaccine candidate, to be manufactured at its facilities in Livingston.

The government is expected to contribute to clinical studies costs and is negotiating funding to expand Valneva’s Scottish facility which will create high-skilled jobs in the area.
