Bernie Sander

Bernard Sanders (born September 8, 1941) is an American politician who has served as the junior United States Senator from Vermont since 2007 and as U.S. Representative for the state's at-large congressional district from 1991 to 2007. He is the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history, although he has a close relationship with the Democratic Party, having caucused with House and Senate Democrats for most of his congressional career. Sanders unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party nomination for president of the United States in 2016 and 2020.

Jane Fonda is all smiles while leading a group of protestors during her latest Fire Drill Friday on Friday (March 6) at San Pedro City Hall in Wilmington, Calif.

The Oscar-winning actress was joined at the event by celeb friends like Lily Tomlin, Diane Lane, and Rosanna Arquette.

During the protest, Jane voiced her support for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. “We have to get a climate president in office, and there’s only one right now, and that’s Bernie Sanders,” she told USA Today. “So, I’m indirectly saying I believe you have to support the climate candidate.” Jane has been hosting the Fire Drill Fridays protests in hopes of saving the environment. “We’re protesting an existential threat that could determine the future
