Steve Wolstenholme was in no doubt just how good England had been. '"It's been the best night since 1990," the 52-year-old says, a huge smile across his face.

Steve, his brother Kevin and their sons, Noah, 15, and Callum, nine, were among 1,200 ecstatic fans who watched England beat Germany on the big screen at 4theFans fanzone at EventCity in Stretford.

Sat in groups of up to six at fenced off picnic benches, the supporters didn't let social distancing get in the way of creating atmosphere.

Before the game, as former Manchester United and England defender Wes Brown addressed the crowd from the stage, hopes were high for a good result for England.
