Insurers are being urged to stop looking for loopholes in policies held by businesses hit by the coronavirus lockdown.Scottish MPs piled pressure on the sector after hearing “daily” concerns from companies and policy holders.Examples include insurers saying Covid-19 has to have been found on a business premise.It was also claimed infectious disease cover extended to smallpox, certified as eradicated in 1980, rather than new viruses.The SNP’s Alison Thewliss, a member of the Treasury Committee at Westminster, said insurers have a “moral duty” to provide reasonable support.“It is understandable that many policyholders are confused over whether their insurance policy covers claims as a result of Coronavirus,” Thewliss said.“I am therefore
