Inspector's brilliant response to people who just say 'put more police on streets'

A frustrated police inspector has asked for people to stop bombarding the local police Facebook page with comments telling them to simply 'put more police on'.

Inspector Katie Allen, who is the neighbourhood inspector for Salford North West, covering Little Hulton , Walkden , Worsley , Ellenbrook and Boothstown , made the 'polite request', describing the negative impact that austerity has had on the force.

She went on to say that she will soon be revealing details of the local police team once they have hopefully recruited another officer to it.
