Here, we take a closer look at the British acting legend’s life off screen… Early Life Sir David John White was born in Edmonton, London on 2 February 1940, one of two twins born to Arthur Robert White and Olwen Jones.Sadly however, David’s twin brother died in childbirth, making him a twinless twin.
