Inquest opens into death of new dad killed in Tameside car crash

Philip Ogden, 32, of Coronation Avenue in Dukinfield, died when a Ford Focus he was a passenger in hit another car on May 9, this year.

Police say the Focus drove through a give way section of the road on an industrial estate on Bayley Street in Stalybridge before crashing into an Audi A3.

Philip, whose son was just four-weeks-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. In a statement following his death, his heart broken family described him as a 'loving son, loyal brother and caring uncle and a proud and attentive dad to his four-week-old son with his partner'.
