Scott Anderton, 33, was found dead in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, in Leigh, on March 25. An inquest into his death was opened at Bolton Coroner's Court this afternoon (Tuesday, April 20).
A pathologist has given Mr Anderton's cause of death as 'multiple sharp force injuries', the court heard. Police coroner's officer Andrew Pickles told the brief hearing: "On March 25, 2021, Mr Anderton was found deceased in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Leigh.
