Last month, Manchester Evening News reported that high street retailer The Body Shop was giving away free products worth £32 if they said a ‘secret’ code at the till.

The deal was spotted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, and we headed in store to see if it actually worked.

Shoppers who say the code at the checkout can bag themselves a 30ml Drops of Youth serum for free. It’s believed that the beauty retailer is changing the packaging on its popular serum, and is using the deal to shift remaining stock with the old branding.

The popular serum has racked up more than 1,000 five star reviews on The Body Shop website - so I was keen to get my hands on one for myself.
