NAGA Munchetty has revealed she is "so scared" to walk home on her own at night she "turns around every 30 seconds". The BBC Breakfast star was discussing women's safety on her BBC Radio 5 Live Show earlier this week.

Naga told a caller called Chris: "So I'm 5ft'4, I do walk with keys in my hand. I'm quite small framed. "If I'm walking alone, I reckon I look round at least every 30 seconds and I'm constantly surveying what's going on in front, to the side and behind me. "And if I, say I turned the corner and I hadn't seen you, or you just turned a corner onto a road and ended up behind me, let's say 20 paces behind me, but I could hear your footsteps, the thing that would help me is if I heard something, so even if it was a clearing of the throat or music or a phone conversation, I would acknowledge you and probably appreciate...I would feel safer, it's not about my appreciation...

I would feel safer if the man who was walking behind me crossed the road, if it was possible and sped up. So ended up in front of me.
