Sean Cusick from Glasgow has found himself in an unimaginable situation, stranded in Eastern Ukraine with his wife and their two-year-old son.The family have "no money" for food and are spending their time hiding in a bunker after "waking up to huge explosions." Due to travel document issues, Sean and his family have no means of escaping back to Scotland where they desperately want to be.

I was woken up at 4:45 in the morning by huge explosions.There's so much fighting and it sounds like bombs are being dropped here right now.

I'm from Glasgow but I'm here in the Ukraine with my wife Chloe and two-year-old son. My wife lived in Shenzhen for around ten years, and we had planned to reunite and get married but Covid separated us.Then, like many others in China, her visa wasn't renewed and she had to leave China in October of last year so we met in Ukraine and it was one of the happiest days of my life, to hold her again and see our son.
