I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! bosses have defended their use of bugs and critters on the show. The hit ITV series has come under investigation after claims that non-native critters may have escaped into the Welsh countryside.Police in north Wales have launched a probe after receiving complaints that creatures such as maggots, worms and spiders could impact the local wildlife.But ITV has assured those concerned that critters are obtained in the UK and collected after filming ends.In a statement to Mirror Online, an ITV spokesperson said: "All of the insects used on I'm A Celebrity are non-invasive species."The spokesperson added: "They are only ever released in a contained area and collected immediately after filming."The bugs are UK.
