A huge cannabis farm has been uncovered in a disused warehouse in the south side of Glasgow. Cops swooped on the former Phoenix Furniture Centre in a late night raid, located on the corner of Niddrie Road and Torrisdale Street in the city at around 11.30pm on FridayPolice remain at the premises today as officers launch an investigation into the damning find.Photos taken at the scene on Saturday show forensic teams in white suits hauling massive cannabis plants into the back of police vans.Several police vehicles can be seen parked outside the warehouse.Dozens of bulbs from lights used to help the plants grow can also be seen in trays outside the property, having been retrieved from inside.
Images from within the premises show the disruption inside the farm with wires and tubing used to cultivate the plants hanging from the ceiling.Phoenix Furniture Centre closed in February 2020 and was thought to have been lying empty since.
