How Bolton Wanderers planned for January transfer window success to plug summer recruitment gaps

Wanderers had a successful summer transfer window and signed a total of nine players in total. The Wanderers squad has been transformed over the course of the last month to plug gaps which Evatt felt Bolton were short after their summer business.
He believes there was a smart but cautious approach in the summer owing to uncertainty over revenue streams brought about by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as the return of fans and being able to operate the Bolton Whites Hotel as normal.
