Ayrshire later this week, weather experts have warned.The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning that heavy snow could be set to arrive in the region in the early hours of Wednesday morning.Forecasters have the warning in place for 5am on Wednesday until 9pm on Thursday and say that 30cm of snow could fall in some places.The experts say that the weather front is likely to cause significant travel disruption.The Met Office have issued advice on what to expect:The Met Office warning reads: "An area of rain pushing north-eastwards is expected to increasingly fall as snow, at least for a time, as it encounters colder air across Scotland and parts of northern England."Heavier snowfall is more likely above 150m, where 5-15 cm of snow may.
