Gone With The Wind will be back on HBO Max, with a few changes. The movie, which caused a stir after fans picked up on problematic depictions of slavery and the Civil War-era South, was pulled from the streaming service over the weekend.
Director John Ridley wrote a feature for the LA Times, calling attention to the movie for its’ racist themes.
HBO Max is planning to re-release the movie with a special introduction by black scholar and television host Jacqueline Stewart.
