People have taken to social media to share their sympathy for Prince Harry and Prince William who are currently mourning the death of their grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen.The monarch’s death is the second close family member the two brothers have lost following their mother Princess Diana dying in 1997 in a car crash.
Princess Diana’s funeral was a well-documented affair, similar to the ongoing services taking place to honour the Queen. Harry, 37, and William, 40, stood side-by-side earlier today, Wednesday 14 September, as their grandmother’s coffin made its way from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall.
Both looked understandably downcast as they followed on-foot behind the Queen’s coffin as part of the procession. In light of the Queen’s passing and the two brothers having to publicly mourn a close relative once again, royal fans have compared the Queen’s services to that of the late Princess Diana’s.
Voicing their sympathy for the pair, one person wrote: “Harry was just 12 & William 15, when their mother Diana died.They had to walk behind their mother’s coffin with the world watching, at such tender & pivotal ages.
