Lewis Hamilton stepped out in a kooky floral print outfit as he arrived at the Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying before putting in a below average performance to qualify in fifth position for the race tomorrow - with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc on pole for the first race of the season.
Hamilton, 37, who recently announced he will be changing his name to include his mother's maiden name, sported a Jacquemus deep purple and orange floral printed ensemble.
His eye-catching arrival was not replicated on the track as Mercedes continued to struggle with Hamilton's fifth place on the grid likely to intensify fears of a poor season ahead for the previously dominant team.
Leclerc's pole position will raise hopes that Ferrari can regain the success of yesteryear after three years of underperformance on the track.
