Hamilton earned their first home point of the season in a hard-fought clash with Dundee United.. Lawrence Shankland put Micky Mellon's side ahead at New Douglas Park before Hakeen Odoffin's bullet header earned Accies a share of the spoils.
The visitors took an early lead as Adrian Sporle found space on the right side of the box after three minutes, before his low cross found Shankland in the box to tap the ball into the net.Accies then carved out their first chance as neat work by David Templeton on the edge of the box allowed him to cross the ball, which eventually fell to Kyle Munro.
However, the wingers shot was deflected wide. It should have been two after 16 minutes when Nicky Clark's inch-perfect pass found Logan Chalmers running.
