Hail storm delays reopening of Salford Museum and Art Gallery

Sign up to the MySalford newsletter and don't miss a thing happening in and around the city Salford Museum and Art Gallery has been forced to delay its post-lockdown reopening following a huge hail storm which flooded part of the building Bosses say the storm at the end of last week caused no damage to the gallery's treasured collections, but carpets have been removed as the pockets of the building are now drying out.

It had been due to reopen on Saturday May 29, but a message on the gallery's website said it would have to be delayed. "We're planning how and when we are able to open our doors and welcome you back," it said.
