Boris Johnson will look to relaunch his beleaguered premiership with another cost of living support package tomorrow. In a speech in Lancashire, the Prime Minister is expected to outline a series of measures to "help people cut costs in every area of household expenditure, from food to energy to childcare to transport and housing".
The speech comes just days after Mr Johnson survived a near fatal rebellion and precedes two by-elections that the Tories are expecting to lose.
The MEN understands that a key theme of the speech will be housing, with Mr Johnson expected to announce reforms to support more people to get onto the property ladder.
The proportion of 25 to 34-year-olds who own their own home has fallen from 55% to 34% between 1996 and 2016.
