Government pledged gay conversion therapy ban in 2018, so why does it still exist?

Humanists UK worked closely with the Isle of Man parliament on the provisions and said the UK government urgently needed to follow suit."Every day that conversion therapy is allowed to continue in this country is another day that LGBT people will be subjected to practices that can cause serious harm and even the loss of life,” Richy Harrison, Director of Public Affairs and Policy at Humanists UK, told the M.E.N.“The government should urgently change the law to ban all such practice.”In March, a petition was created urging UK government to push forward on the therapy ban.The petition gathered over 179,000 signatures and is now awaiting consideration for discussion in parliament.In response to the petition, equalities minister Kemi Badenoch.
