Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw will not travel to San Marino with England while he remains in concussion protocol. Shaw remains in the protocol after picking up the head injury in the Manchester derby last weekend.
The left-back suffered a blow to the head in the second half of United’s 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford and was replaced by Alex Telles later on in the half.
Shaw was initially included in the England squad for World Cup qualifiers with Albania and San Marino during the international break, but he’s not yet been able to link up with Gareth Southgate’s group.
The 26-year-old will now remain at home, and will be reassessed throughout the week before United play Watford next weekend.
