Four inches of snow to blanket Scotland as forecasters issue another weather warning

snow is expected to land in Scotland overnight as forecasters issue an 18-hour weather warning. Wintry conditions are expected to cause disruption across the west coast of the country from around 4pm tonight.Experts say that around 10cm of the white stuff could fall in areas of higher ground.

Strathclyde, south west Scotland, the Highlands and central parts of the country are expected to see the worst of the conditions before the weather warning ends at 10.30am tomorrow morning.

People heading out on their essential commute have been urged to prepare for delays on the roads and on public transport services.
