In a Tweet shared this morning, Joe said their son's heart had stopped beating before he was born. Their baby, named Dre Phoenix, died on Wednesday night.

The former Rochdale FC player said: " #RipDrePhoenix We lost our baby boy on Wednesday night. "His heart stopped beating the day before we brought him into the world. "A scar over our hearts that will never heal.

We will one day find peace in our pain and the strength to rise again. "But now we must grieve." Joe's heartbreaking news prompted many messages of condolence from friends and fans.
