The 31-year-old striker faces a claim he breached a ruling keeping him away from Eilidh Scott for four years by sending her an email message in March this year.Charges state he allegedly broke bail conditions and the terms of a non-harassment order which was handed down last year.
The Irish footballer, who also played for Arsenal and Hibs, was not present when his case called at Hamilton Sheriff Court. He pled not guilty by letter and the case was continued to next month by Sheriff Linda Nicolson.Stokes, of Glasgow, is due to stand trial in September.He was made subject to the non-harassment orders in September last year at the same.
