The anticipated fourth season of FX’s anthology series “Fargo” will no longer premiere in April as planned. “Due to the postponement of production related to the coronavirus, the fourth installment of FX’s award-winning limited series ‘Fargo’ will no longer premiere on Sunday, April 19th,” FX Networks said in a statement. “A new premiere date will be determined once production resumes.” The news means that the fourth season of the series, which will see Chris Rock star in a major role, will more than likely not be eligible for the 2020 Emmy Awards.

It would need to air the majority of its episodes ahead of May 31 in order to qualify. The show is one of dozens that has suspended production amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
