Family's tears as stolen wedding ring found 30 years later in Edinburgh plant pot

wedding band stolen more than 30 years ago has been reunited with its Scots owner thanks to a team of internet supersleuths.The gold band was discovered in a large plant pot at the Edinburgh home of Debbie Davidson while she was gardening on August 2.The tour guide launched a social media appeal to try and find the ring’s rightful keeper after noticing an inscription that read: “Norman and Alice 5.8.61.”In a Facebook post, she wrote: “Looking for either Alice or Norman who got married 5.8.61.“May be from Edinburgh or Inveresk.

I found a wedding ring in huge plant pot when repotting plant. I would like the ring was returned to the owner. Let me know if you can help."Her plea soon went viral after the post was shared by BBC Radio 4 presenter.
