The AA has warned of potential 'confusion and dangerous situations' over a new Highway Code rule change. From January 29, motorists will have to give way to cyclists and pedestrians at junctions.
After surveying over 13,000 drivers, the AA found that only a third were aware of the rule change. READ MORE: Man found guilty of murdering Tameside teenager found dead in a car off M62 They are urging people to educate themselves on the new guidance, which, subject to parliamentary approval, will become law in the New Year, the MailOnline reports.
Under the revised rules, drivers and cyclists must give way if pedestrians are waiting to cross the road into which or from they are turning.
