Eric Church has announced that he will be performing a free concert for fans in San Antonio, Texas after he canceled a sold-out concert there for the “most selfish” reason.

The 44-year-old country singer was supposed to perform a concert tonight at the AT&T Center, but he canceled it so he can attend a Final Four match in the Men’s NCAA Tournament. Eric will be at UNC’s game against Duke tonight, which he says has been a lifelong dream of his to attend if it were to ever happen. This is also the most selfish thing I’ve ever asked the Choir to do: to give up your Saturday night plans with us so that I can have this moment with my family and sports community.” Now, Eric has announced that a free show will be given to the fans who had tickets to the canceled concert. “Thank you to San Antonio for letting me take my family to this game,” Eric wrote in an Instagram post. “It took a minute to figure out how and when I could properly express my thanks.

I will be coming to Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, TX on Friday, September 2, 2022 for a ONE of a kind FREE show for those of you who bought tickets and were planning to attend our cancelled San Antonio show.
