Emmerdale star Samantha Giles offers update on health after hospitalisation

Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has given a health update on Twitter after being taken to hospital with a mystery illness. The actress, who plays Bernice Blackstock on the ITV soap, updated fans about her health scare that saw her spend some time in hospital.

She did not reveal any details about her illness, but thanked the NHS and "caring staff" for looking after her. She wrote: "Huge thank you to all the wonderfully caring staff at @LiverpoolWomens for looking after me today. #NHS I'm fine and I'll be home soon. "It seems the actress was taken to hospital for urgent medical treatment but fans were put at ease that she would be "home soon".
