Emmerdale fans think they might have an idea who the new owner of The Woolpack pub will be on the popular ITV soap. The shocking Christmas day explosion saw the boozer left in tatters and as the insurance company failed to cover the costs for the extensive damage and the deal with Al fell through, owners Chas and Marlon Dingle were left with no other choice than to sell up at auction.

Initially, the couple had hoped to sell the pub to Al but when investor Gavin pulled out it meant the deal could not go ahead., leaving him without enough capital to purchase it.So the ordeal means that the The Woolpack is set to have a new landlord, but who will take over?

Fans of the soap initially had an inkling that Kim Tate might be considering putting in a bid at the auction for the venue this week, as she was spotted eyeing up the place, writes The Mirror.
